We are going to review insurance companies and offer
insights into the customer ratings of these firms. This article can be used as a guide before the purchase of insurance policy or when one needs to switch their service provider. The information here is being built upon a survey conducted by insure.com where they sought to determine the customer ratings of the insurance companies and the packages they offer. The respondents were over 5,600 and data was collected for 20 insurance firms in four insurance categories (Auto, Home, Life and Health insurance).
What do you expect from insurance companies? Customers
expect better service when addressing their issues, acceptance and processing
of claims by the insurer and the value for the price or premiums paid. These
are some of the signals used in compiling this article. Apart from these,
recommendations by existing clients and likely renewals were also analyzed.
Price was the strongest factor with some customers stating that the price on
the policies was high.
USAA which only sells to military members and their families
had a sterling performance by making it to the top spot for two categories
(home and auto insurance). The senior VP at the firm attributes this to an engaged
workforce and superior service to clients.
