Apple iPhone 6: Features that make a difference

Apple has made dual releases of their Smartphone the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and this time around they have gone for bigger screens. The iPhone 6 comes at 4.7” while the 6 Plus packs a 5.5” screen display. They both come with curved glass displays in my opinion this increases the body of the phone for handling and makes it aesthetically appealing but I vote down the idea because of durability issues that have been presented by the new design. The curved glass simply increases chances of the display cracking after a fall. This issue has seen other brands like go back to the flat displays with the surrounding plastic shield after experimenting with the curved design.  We need to know the real upgrades done on this phone because it is the upgrades that determine the value of the iPhone 6/plus. There is no point in getting a phone similar to what you already have or with negligible improvements so here is the rundown between the iPhone 6 and the 5S/other previous models.
First let us show the difference between the 6 and the 6 Plus
  • The size: The 6 comes in 4.7” while the plus comes in 5.5”
  • Retina display (Pixel density): The 6 Plus 1080p HD while the iPhone 6 gets 750p.
  • Camera: the 6 Plus comes with optical image stabilization
  • Battery: the plus packs more juice than the iPhone 6

For the rundown between iPhone 6 and Predecessors
  • The new iphone/s got some upgrades in their cameras with the sensors and autofocus which have been made faster and make them better than their predecessors.
  • The power button moves to the right side this improves single hand operations.
  • There is a double tap feature (Reachability) on the home button which brings the app icons at the top of the screen lower (closer to the thumb when holding the phone) for easier one hand accessibility.
  • The iPhone 6/plus finally pack NFC (Near Field Communication)
  • They come with Apple's very own NFC supported mobile payments system (Apple Pay) with a host of partners on board.
  • Security for the above development is enhanced with the iPhone’s Touch ID.
  • The new iphones are definitely thinner than their predecessors at 6.9 and 7.1mm for the 5.5” their most recent predecessor the 5S was 7.6mm.
  • The phones come with an A8 64-bit processor the processor had A7 making the new phones faster and more energy efficient.
  • The iPhone 6 comes with the M8 motion coprocessor replacing the M7. It also introduces a barometer feature in this new release.
  • The new iPhones also seek to improve the quality of calls over the LTE network through support by the voice over LTE (VoLTE).
  • The phones also pack the new iOS 8.

So if you think the above upgrades add value to the product then go ahead and make your order. All in all we think the two phones are great products especially for those upgrading from older models but for those who own the 5S we suggest you do more of soul searching. Further Apple reports that they have received positive response about the iPhone 6 and 6 plus (translate this to millions of orders).
